What Materials Are Used to Make ClearCorrect Aligners?

ClearCorrect® aligners allow you to straighten your teeth without having to deal with metal wires and brackets that ruin the way your smile looks. Braces have been the standard way to improve the alignment of teeth for centuries, and they remain one of the most efficient ways to straighten teeth. They can be used to treat a wider range of alignment issues than clear aligners like ClearCorrect can, such as problems caused by your jaw being poorly positioned, but they ruin the way the patient’s teeth look.

The materials used to make ClearCorrect aligners

ClearCorrect aligner trays are made from a specially created polyurethane resin plastic. The material is approved by the FDA, and it is BPA-free. The special plastic material is resistant to cracks and stains, so they remain clear even after use, making it hard to notice the aligners in a person’s mouth.

ClearCorrect aligners being free of any harmful materials or chemicals means treatment is safe for everyone, including nursing or pregnant mothers. The materials used to make the aligner trays are recyclable, which is great for the environment. The aligner trays are also shipped in biodegradable packages.

How it works

ClearCorrect aligners are removable appliances that straighten teeth by applying force on them. That is a huge contrast from traditional metal braces, which are permanently fixed in place. As a result, the patient gets a more convenient way to straighten their teeth.

Instead of having to restrict their meals to foods that will not get trapped underneath the wires and brackets of braces, people who wear clear aligners can simply take them out for meals. They do not have to put up with any restrictions to their diet, and they do not have to spend time cleaning food particles off their appliance after meals. Braces also restrict oral hygiene, since the wearer has to navigate around their braces to brush or floss their teeth.

Clear aligners are also more comfortable than braces. They apply gentle force on the wearer’s teeth, and that force is gradually increased over time. Patients get multiple sets of trays at the start of their treatment. Each set is worn for up to three weeks before being swapped with another set that applies a little more force on the wearer's teeth and takes them closer to the desired position. This makes the experience more comfortable for the patient.

Virtually unnoticeable

One of the biggest reasons people choose clear aligners like ClearCorrect is due to how difficult it can be to notice them when worn. It allows the patient to show off their smile while their teeth are being moved to a better alignment.

We can straighten your smile

Improving the alignment of your teeth makes your smile look better, plus it makes it easier to keep your teeth clean. Misaligned teeth are more vulnerable to tooth decay since they are more challenging to clean.
